Breakfast in Beaumont at Bumblekiss
Several times while I’ve been checking out some of the homes for sale in the Beaumont Neighborhood, I’ve driven by a bright red house just off of Freemont St. (at 46th, near Beaumont Village) that appeared to be some sort of a breakfast cafe.
I figured it must be a decent spot, since there’s usually a line of people waiting, especially on nice days, as they have a great little outdoor patio. Some local reviews on Yelp confirmed my suspicion, so I thought I’d give it a shot this weekend and see what the place is all about.
The place is called Bumblekiss and their tagline is “ridiculously tasty breakfast + lunch“.
Now, I’m a fan of eggs benedict, although not a huge fan of hollandaise sauce. I usually get it on the side. But, I decided to live life this weekend and not be so picky. Boy am I glad I did! I’ve never had such light and delicious hollandaise, with a slight lemon taste. I actually found myself scooping as much of it as I could onto each bite.
Anyway, as you can probably already guess, the food was ridiculously tasty as Bumblekiss promised. Everything is all natural, non-caged, and locally grown. You can definitely taste the difference!
So next time you’re looking for a great little breakfast spot, give Bumblekiss a try. The food and service were great, and it’s within walking distance from both the Roseway and Beaumont Neighborhoods.
My name is Jeff Bernheisel.
