Portland’s “Beaumont” Neighborhood, as it’s more commonly referred to, has fast become one of the more desirable areas of NE Portland. One of my favorite areas to visit in the neighborhood is the Beaumont Village shopping area, spanning between 42nd and 57th on NE Fremont St. Originally a streetcar line, Fremont St. has become a major artery for transportation between the surrounding neighborhoods and Downtown Portland.
