Places to Know: Amalfi’s Italian Restaurant
Deep in the heart of the Beaumont Neighborhood is Amalfi’s Italian Restaurant, one of my favorite restaurants in all of Portland.
Amalfi’s is what I like to call “old school Italian”. Thick sauces over rich, hearty pastas that will leave you stuffed like a manicotti.
What’s good at Amalfi’s? Everything.
The atmosphere is a little less “old school” and unlike most traditional Italian joints, Amalfi’s has more of a modern restaurant feel to it. There’s an open bar area with a fireplace, and outdoor seating with a fire pit and sometimes live music on the patio.
If you live in Roseway, or any of Beaumont’s neighboring ‘hoods give Amalfi’s a try. You might even want to walk there, so you can burn some of the meal off on the walk home!
