Roseway Neighborhood’s Korner Pocket Bar

Roseway's Korner Pocket BarOne of the best thing’s about living in Roseway is that you can walk to literally anything.  With an average Walk Score of 78, the Roseway neighborhood is one of the most walk friendly neighborhoods in Portland.

One of my favorite places to stroll to is the Korner Pocket, or the KP as my friends and I call it.  The KP, which was originally a bakery in the early 1920′s until roughly 1929, recently fell under new ownership and some very welcome changes have already been made.  They’ve really cleaned the place up quite a bit!

Nick, nephew of the new owner and the daytime drink slinger, is a super nice guy and I can tell he genuinely likes being there meeting us “locals” as he described us.  He said they have plans to get video poker back, and eventually some live music during the weekends.  Nothing really loud, just some laid back acoustic stuff.  My kinda scene.

If you’re in the area, stop by and check the place out. You’ll be glad you did!
